I have known Elizabeth most of my life. When I complained that I was out of room to display the results of my various hobbies, she convinced me to set up a website. It was a difficult process for me, as I am not comfortable as a self-promoter, but she walked (dragged) me through the process, convincing (forcing) me to write about the things I make, suggesting (insisting) that I add elements to make a better website, often against my better (worse) nature. I have been trying to get a website up and running for the past year and I wanted one that I would be able to edit myself and add to later. Most of the ones that I looked at were extremely complicated, requiring the user to be a highly skilled "webmaster" with knowledge of computer codes in order to do it myself. The ones that were pre-packaged were terribly expensive and any editing later would have to be done by the company at an additional charge. I hired two persons prior to meeting you; both times they did a little work to get a basic web page up and then totally abandoned me so that I never received the instruction that I needed to edit and complete my website.

If there has ever been a person undertaking a web site project who possessed more apprehension than me, I cannot imagine it. I am not a person who is comfortable with a computer and I feel as though I have little time for learning new things. All that aside, as a professional event planner, I know the benefit of a well designed website. For my own high school reunion, I needed a complex site that would allow classmates to learn of our event plans, register and pay online, and ask questions. We have a good website design guy in our Le Tip group. He did a 20 minute presentation to the group on one of the best websites he has seen, timcassidy.com. He went through all of the details, colors (he loved the new colors without my solicitation of his opinion), fly-outs, content, etc. He then ran a report showing the group where I was in the search engines (I think #6 yahoo, #8 google, etc.). He said it was very impressive positioning and exposure.
