PCA integrated a templated Dreamweaver site with a templated shopping cart system (ProStores) to provide a seamless customer experience and to simplify future site updates. The site has two main components: 1) A Dreamweaver-maintained "outer wapper" for the home page, contact, and shipping pages, along with the entry point to the inner shopping cart and catalog pages. 2) The back-end catalog and shopping cart.
The project involved identifying which companies handle technical support for various pieces of the system, figuring out how all the pieces worked together, and working with tech support where necessary. PCA learned the new shopping cart system, selected a shopping cart template that complemented the company's logo, created a template in Dreamweaver that mimicked the shopping cart design, created graphical buttons, and reorganized and updated the "outer wrapper" pages.
