Rabbit Advocates Need YOU to...
Be A Rabbit Advocates "Bunny’s Best Bites" Hay Elf Volunteer!

All proceeds go directly to the RA Medical Fund, which pays for spays, neuters and medical assistance to domestic rabbits in need.

Packing Help Wanted: RA members, BBB customers, family members, friends -- all are welcome! You will help us mix and bag hay into 10 lb. bags with our special label.
- See signup sheet. 12 needed per packing event.

• You must be 18 years of age or older with no hay allergies.
• All elves are asked to stay until the bags are counted, stored, and the shed is cleaned and swept well, the way we found it.
• We will provide dust masks and safety glasses. Just ask.
• Dress for the weather outside, wear grubbies and bring some gardening type gloves. We have a few pairs if you forget. Long sleeves and pants recommended, with closed toe shoes.
• We need twelve volunteers, ideally six for each shift, and no less than 4 packers per shift. (Ten is the least we can have in order to proceed with hay packing.)

Chief of Elf Grub Wanted: Coordinate with Jan Hutto to provide seasonal vegetarian finger food for 12 elves. After the event, check inventory of "basic supplies," including plastic utensils, plates, bowls, and cups for hot or cold drinks.

• Reimbursement to Chief of Elf Grub: Up to $20 (give receipt to Jan Hutto).
• Suggested items: Food - Baked goods such as muffins, cookies, doughnuts, brownies, scones as well as chips, veggies, dips, fruit salads, yogurt cups, cheese and crackers. Cold drinks - water, juice, pop, tea drinks or lemonade. Hot drinks - chocolate, instant coffee, assorted black, green, herbal tea bags, soup.

Transport Help Wanted: Have a van, SUV, or truck? We need you to transport the packed bags from the shed after packing days from Sherwood to Jan Hutto's SE Portland home, North Portland Veterinary Hospital, and later to our meetings from Jan's house to Oregon Humane Society.
- 1-3 needed per packing date (needs vary depending on vehicle size and supplies at our vets).
