Rabbit Advocates Need YOU to...
Be A Rabbit Advocates "Bunny’s Best Bites" Hay Elf Volunteer!

All proceeds go directly to the RA Medical Fund, which pays for spays, neuters and medical assistance to domestic rabbits in need.

Packing Help Wanted: RA members, BBB customers, family members, friends -- all are welcome! You will help us mix and bag hay into 10 lb. bags with our special label.
- See signup sheet to volunteer and to see current list of volunteers. 12 needed per packing event.

• You must be 18 years of age or older with no hay allergies.
• All elves are asked to stay until the bags are counted, stored, and the shed is cleaned and swept well, the way we found it.
• We will provide dust masks and safety glasses. Just ask.
• Dress for the weather outside, wear grubbies and bring some gardening type gloves. We have a few pairs if you forget. Long sleeves and pants recommended, with closed toe shoes.
• We need 12 volunteers, with at least 5 willing to be hay packers.

Coordinator of Elf Grub Wanted: One person needed per packing day.

This person coordinates the day's potluck offerings to ensure a variety of foods. You may purchase additional items to round out the menu. You will be reimbursed up to $20 by saving the receipt and giving it to Jan Hutto at hay packing.

Acting as our host, you set up the food, beverages, and the buffet table. Beverages are put out first, then the rest of the food is placed about two hours later.

At the end of the day, please check our inventory of "basic grub supplies" (plastic utensils, plates, bowls, and cups, etc.) and report anything we are low on to Jan.

BBB Bag and Hay Bale transport vehicles needed: Have a van, SUV, medium-sized car, or truck? We need your help to transport many BBB bags after packing to Jan Hutto's SE Portland home, North Portland Veterinary Hospital, and later to our meetings from Evelyn's house to Oregon Humane Society. Click on the preceding links to get directions to these locations.

We always need pickup and flat bed trucks to help us transport many bales of hay from point of purchase to our hay packing location at Evelyn's house.
